Join us for our 6-week Spring Series of Musical Moments Mommy & Me Music Classes at TheraCare! Classes are led by Leslie Jones, board certified music therapist, and are designed to help your child grow and learn through music. Not only will you play and have fun together in class, but you will learn how to use music on your own with your children, and why musical play is so important for childhood development. This class is open to ages 0-5 encouraging a mix of ages, as this fosters a natural, family-like learning environment. Early Childhood

Sing & Sign with Me is an early childhood development class centered around using songs to teach beginning words using American Sign Language. This class is not designed to teach fluency in ASL, but rather to introduce useful vocabulary for children having difficultly with spoken language, or for younger children beginning to develop spoken language and communication skills. Classes are designed to help parents incorporate simple signs into their child’s daily routine to improve communication skills. Classes are led and created by Leslie Jones, board certified music therapist, who has been working in early childhood education for more than 10 years.

It’s almost time for Spring Strummers Camp! Ms Molly is ready to help students further their ukulele skills or start learning to play. Not only are these classes designed to teach your child to play the ukulele, classes are designed to address cognitive, emotional, social and motor skills. Since classes are led by a board certified music therapist, children will be working on non musical goals such as proper peer interaction, turn taking, listening, direction following, finger dexterity, and so much more. Children of all ages and abilities are welcome. Space is limited so be sure to register before the class fills up! If your child does not own a ukulele, no worries! Thanks to a generous fundraiser, we have several ukuleles left to provide to students at no additional cost 🙂
