Melanie Stinnett

Melanie Stinnett, MS, CCC-SLP graduated with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Missouri State University in May 2010. She has since worked in a variety of settings including acute/inpatient care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health care, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient services. While working throughout the continuum of care, Melanie has worked alongside of seasoned professionals who have helped to guide her skills and expertise to where it is today. She is passionate about serving others and increasing the communities opportunities to find skilled speech therapy services in an area with a high need for these services.


Allison Slone

Allison Slone, MS, CCC-SLP received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Missouri State University in May 2010.  She has worked with children of all ages, from babies in the early intervention setting to high-school aged students in the public schools.  She finds tremendous joy as a speech-language pathologist in being able to help children learn to convey their thoughts and ideas more effectively to the people they love.  She is particularly passionate about early intervention services, and is thankful for the opportunity through TheraCare to partner with area preschools to offer speech and language screenings throughout the Springfield community and to help plan and facilitate TheraCare’s summer enrichment programs.


Rachel Ball

Rachel Moore, MS, CCC-SLP attended Missouri State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2015. Over the course of her clinical fellowship period, Rachel dedicated much of her time to learning the ins and outs of assistive technology under the guidance of specialist, Judith Peavey, MA, CCC-SLP. She currently serves as lead SLP for TheraCare’s assistive technology program, conducting AAC evaluations and providing follow-up services/training for clients and families using communication devices. She also provides general speech and language therapy for clients of all ages.


 

Megan Bio

Megan Zelhart, MA, CF-SLP graduated with her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Truman State University in May of 2015.  She has had the opportunity to obtain experience in a variety of settings including elementary and secondary schools, a speech and hearing clinic, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services.  While her journey as a speech-language pathologist is just beginning, her enthusiasm for helping others is contagious.  She is excited to be a part of the TheraCare family and to serve those in need in the Springfield community.


Judith Peavey

Judith Peavey, MA, CCC-SLP received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Southwest Missouri State University in 1993. She began her employment as an SLP at the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Missouri where she worked from May of 1993 until they closed on October 31, 2014. Since 1997, Judith has specialized in assistive technology, evaluating children and adults throughout southern Missouri for augmentative communication devices, as well as adaptive or alternative computer access systems. Judith has presented at state and national assistive technology conferences and has been known to display assistive technology equipment at local and regional resource fairs and expositions. Judith retired in May 2016 after raising up another SLP to take her place in this important area of our field.


Occupational Therapy

Elizabeth Duley, OTR/L graduated with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri in May 2011. Elizabeth has previously worked in an outpatient setting in the Springfield community and enjoys working with children of all ages.
